The quintet metalcore Across Five Aprils have announced their break up on their myspace blog : "I could spend all day on here telling you why A5A is calling it quits but the simple truth is we've all just gotten to a point where we have chosen to move on, and we wouldn't have changed our experience with A5A for anything in the world. A5A got to make some of our biggest dreams come true. We got to play with our favorite bands and we befriended our heroes and had the times of our lives."

Across Five Aprils said that the band no have qualms with they label Victory Record after they decide to broke up

They released three full-lengths during their seven-year run, 2003's A Tragedy In Progress and 2006's Collapse on Indianola, and their sole effort for Victory, this year's Life Underwater. Before the three album they also have released two EP in 2002 and 2004.
